A refreshing and vibrant Indian condiment made with fresh mint, cilantro, and spices, perfect as a dip or accompaniment.
Why it's healthy
This chutney is a low-calorie, low-fat flavor enhancer packed with nutrients from its raw ingredients. Mint leaves are known to aid digestion, while coriander provides a significant amount of Vitamin K, crucial for blood clotting and bone health. Both herbs are rich in antioxidants. Ginger contributes gingerol, a compound with powerful anti-inflammatory properties. The inclusion of lemon juice boosts the Vitamin C content, which supports immune function and enhances iron absorption from the herbs. As a no-cook recipe, it preserves these valuable, heat-sensitive vitamins and compounds, making it a healthy addition to any meal.
